In the evening of November 24, 2014, the grand jury from the State of Missouri vs. Darren Wilson announced there would be no indictment of Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown, the unarmed black male teenager in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9, 2014. During the course of the night, protest and violence erupted in the streets of Ferguson. The verdict also sparked other demonstrations around the country.
